Empower and be empowered!
Our collection of mantra bracelets feature simple words, daily reminders that have the power both to empower yourself and the Ugandan women who craft them.
Wear your bracelet as a daily reminder of what's important, knowing that your purchase makes education and empowerment possible for both the mothers who craft the bracelets and their young children.
Select one bracelet, a trio or a set of 12.
Each bracelet is crafted from delicately rolled paper beads. Paper beads measure approximately .25 inches and are strung on clear elastic to fit most women's wrists.
In 2005, Santina was living in a cramped single room with her three young children, the room large enough for just two mattresses. The sole provider to her children, Santina labored in the stone quarry each day. In 2006, Santina was among the women Project Have Hope trained to make jewelry, setting her life on a new path.
Through PHH, two of her children have attended school. Her son received a certificate in plumbing. Her daughter completed a nursing certificate and is now enrolled in a three-year medical degree. Santina, herself, has earned a steady income through PHH and has also benefited from vocational training and business grants.
Santina has built a home with separate bedrooms for herself and her children and is also a landlord herself, having built two small homes with two rooms each which she rents.
Doesn't every child deserve the opportunity to receive an education? Doesn't every child deserve the right to gain skills that will help them build a successful future? Doesn't every child deserve a future with hope?
For just $12.50 a month, you can help a child in Uganda go to school and build a hopeful future.
