Winnie lives with her mom and six siblings. Her father took a new wife and has abandoned the family, leaving her mother to try to support the children alone.

Winnie loves school. Her favorite subject is science because it is “the best subject.” When she’s not at school,
she’s playing volleyball with her friends in the Acholi Quarter. Winnie would like to become a teacher, so she can “teach others and provide knowledge.”
Winnie hopes to live in Northern Uganda because her grandmother lives there. She also enjoys gardening with her grandmother.
