Mercy lives with her grandparents.  Her father died of HIV when she was only a year old and her mother is not working and is unable to care for her.  Mercy enjoys science and English and is a talented singer.  She sings both at school and at church.  She hopes to become a doctor so she can treat the sick and save lives.  The name “Asinja” means thanks.
